Founder, Cafetal Coffee Import

Javier Arias Bernal spent over a decade in the space industry — working on launch vehicles, satellite systems, and the kind of engineering problems where failure is measured in millions. He is Colombian, educated in France, and based in Vejle, Denmark.

In 2025, he launched Cafetal Coffee Import — a green coffee importer built on a structural insight most competitors have never attempted: controlling both ends of the supply chain. His Colombian entity, Invariasbernal, manages producer relationships and all export logistics. Cafetal handles Danish import and distribution. One owner. Two companies. No unnecessary intermediaries.

The coffee comes from farms and cooperatives in the Caldas region of Colombia — sourced directly from producers Javier knows by name and visits in person. The first commercial shipment sailed from Cartagena in December 2025 and arrived in Aarhus in January 2026.

To connect exceptional Colombian farms directly with Scandinavian and European roasters — eliminating unnecessary intermediaries and delivering traceable, high-quality green coffee beans. Mission
